What You Do In Just 5 Steps

What You

Do In Just

5 Steps

Step 1: Get Your Utah County Marriage License Online

You and your partner apply directly with Utah County.

What you need:

What you do:

  1. Start the online marriage license application on Utah County’s site.

  2. Each of you completes your portion of the same application.

  3. Upload your IDs and complete the identity selfie check.

  4. Pay the county fee online.

  5. Utah County emails you a digital marriage license link/QR code.

Important:

  • No residency requirement — you can apply from anywhere.

  • No waiting period.

  • The license is valid for 32 days after it’s issued.

Step 2: Send Us Your License Link & Pick Your Ceremony

Once Utah County issues your digital license, forward your license link/QR to Online Wedding Vows.

Then You:

  • Choose your ceremony package

  • Select a date/time

  • Decide your ceremony style (romantic, light & joyful, simple & quick, or spiritual)
We confirm everything with you and schedule your live ceremony.

Step 3: Invite Your Two Witnesses (Or We Provide Them)

  • Utah requires two adult witnesses (18+) to attend your ceremony live by video.

  • You can bring your own witnesses or ask us to provide them.

  • Witnesses can be anywhere, they just need to be present on the video call.

Step 4: Join Your Live Online Wedding Ceremony

At your scheduled time:

  1. You, your partner, witnesses, and your officiant join the secure video call.

  2. Your officiant verifies identities and the license details.

  3. You share your vows live.

  4. You are pronounced married.

Legal key:

Your officiant is physically located in Utah during the ceremony. That “Utah host location” is what makes your Utah County license valid for an online wedding.

Step 5: We Finalize Your License & You Receive Your Certificate

After the ceremony, we complete the Utah County officiant submission using your digital license link.
Then:

  • You receive a digital certified marriage certificate, usually very quickly.

  • You can request physical certified copies mailed to you.
